The tone might be more similar to his if you play higher up on the E,A, and D strings, instead
of playing low on the G, D, and A strings, but I wrote it like this because it’s easier.
Enjoy.

i think this song is about a time when every aspect of your life seems to be falling apart and u feel like ur losing touch with who u are and what ur doing... then all of a sudden... in one instant... you realize that everything is going to be ok... u start to smile and u feel like u can breathe easier... there might not even be an explanation as to why but suddenly ur confident in yourself and u realize that you need to keep pulling yourself through life

if this is the song that "got you into LTJ" or if you think this is one of their best songs...you need to take a little trip in time to their earlier stuff, their new albums have been utter shite lately, this song isnt bad, but theres so much better out there, so get clued. and blink and new found glory arent punk for those of you who think they are

You can listen to this song and relate to everything he's saying, and probably even remember a time that all of it happened to you, but since the song is so upbeat, it makes everything feel a little bit better. Get yourself a joint, listen to this song, and watch the problems melt away.

I love this song especially the brass instruements. It does have obvious meaning to it. It goes to the core of codependency and senless actions from use of liqour.

LTJ write alot about being in a teenage state of mind, and this is a great example. both the lyrics and the laid-backness of the music give the message "i cant do nothing right, but so what?!"

hey, David.. you are a freaking idiot. you make fun of all these "so called less than jake fans" for not commenting on this great song in less than a day after the lyrics were posted. "P.S can someone else please agree with me" why would somebody want to look like an idiot with you? kill yourself.

You so-called Less Than Jake fans make me sick. How is it that so many people write about "We're All Dudes" and yet this incredible song hasn't received a single post. This song was nothing short of a gateway for me and a friend as it launched us into this amazing band, Roger somehow manages to put so much meaning into every word and should be congratulated for his singing. P.S can someone else please agree with me

I effing love this song!It brings back ALOT of memories...this summer, me and my friends went to the beach and was listening to this song, bobbing and singing along...and I actually do sleep on my best friend's kicthen floor lol. It's something anyone can relate to. I love the fact that the music is so upbeat and catchy yet the lyrics are so depressing. its sketchy! but cool ^_^

i dunno it's easy to relate to in a certain mood. it reminds me of how i am with school...i guess i'm fucked, but somehow i'll end up fine. socially, well i never felt like this song but i see how others could. but i know that "i've come to my senses, and i've become senseless" this song and "Malt Liquor Tastes Better When You've Got Problems" make me feel similarly.

This is a really good song. The meaning isn't really hidden, just simply about depression and feeling like you're doing everything wrong. I think we've all felt just like this before, so its really to relate to.
