i love this song. its so sad. has anyone seen the video. its shows these little kids in adult situations (prostitute, car crash, fighting with wife) and then shows the same kids as adults. it also shows them doing something better to try and fix the problem. that might help to the meaning of the song. also in the begining of the video theres a quote from some guy that says "the day a child relises that all adults aren't perfect he becomes and adolecent. The day a child forgives them he becomes an adult. The day a child forgives himself he becomes wise" i dunno. that mite be the meaning.

this song is about, as many of you have said, someone who has made countless mistakes all of the same nature. the part about saying good bye to your best friend is talking about the fact that those who are closest to you often have a biased point of view, and that to discover the true nature of the issue you have to look outside the sources you would probably go to first. "this is my all time low" is talking about how they keep making these same mistakes but they just can't seem to correct the issue and they feel like it's not worth trying any more (suicide is also a completely viable interpretation). the life support reffers to that inner flame that keeps you going and it's been extinguished some how and when they say "it twists like a blade" is talking aobut how painful it feels to realize that everything about you, and your world is flawed and without salvation.

Very catchy song. Should get Less Than Jake the additional radio and TV exposure that they deserve. I love the music video for this song which portrays how childish grown-ups can act.
