i htink what she was trying to say, was an agreement with me, they have no depth because they mean something to everyone, they are about simple depression and drug addiction which so many people go through, its not suprising they sell so many records, if you look at what people are writing its all " oh this means so much to me, cos i was depressed once" all for various reasons but the same general end proposition, depression, wether mild or serious.

This is possibly the best song by Linkin Park, which is by the way the best band ever! This song I believe is about an abusive partner. The girl in the video is constantly abused and mistreated by her lover. She feels that she is stuck there with him, in this situation. The girl's wounds were given by the lover and they wont help. She is dissapointed to find out that the guy she loved once, has turned into a monster. "The walls are closing in", for she does not know what to do.She also feels so "insecure" and so "unreal" about the situation. The "Crawling" part represents the pressure and abuse of her boyfriend affecting her. She cries for help, since she feels helpless.

another very general song. read my post on one step closer, in fact all linkin parks songs are general, thats why they get accross to so many people. i mean thats not a bad thing, but it is a way of selling alot of records.

'Crawling' narrates a phase in the life of few or one of the band members possibly now but most likley in the past. It is the coming to terms being on heroin. It is the thoughts of an addicted user, how they condemn themselves for 'using' (It’s haunting how I can’t seem To find myself again) yet, just see it as an easy way out (Without a sense of confidence, I’m convinced there's just too much pressure to take ) The person keeps on going back to the drug regardless of its consequences (crawling in my skin, these wounds they will not heal) Wounds wont heal due to the fact of frequent use. Because of the drug the person has lost himself, has gone into complete self hating mode. They know that the drug is harmful but see it a a right thing to do (Confusing what is real) Only after a period of being in denial does this person realise what the drug has caused and lacks esteem to get themself out of the circle the seem to go through. The song is stating that heroin/drugs is more then a physical thing and the mental side of it all is just or perhaps even worse.

Yeah , don't like linken park at all, they are rock posers. They're lyrics are sort of predictable and see through, no real depth unless you go searching for it. Blah, dont like this song at all :S

i think this song is also about self hated and self injury if you read the lyrics it sums up a little of how people feel when they self harm.
