| I think it was supposed to be a message to a former band member. I'm sure I read that somewhere. | |

| It comes from the American film Times Square about punk rock. It is the tale of a middle class girl and a waster befriending one another after being admitted to hospital and forming a fictional group called the Sleez Sisters. Another Manics reference to this film comes in the form of "Roses in the Hospital". Its a line in the film that I think relates to some kind of fictional punk rock song though on second thoughts it may be a reference to when the waster girl eats a rose belonging to the middle class girl when in hospital. A marvellous film so please don't the Manics rather poor cover put you off investigating it! | |

| Unless someone can think of a great explanation for this lyric, it is by far the worst song of GT. Why they bothered covering this song, never mind put it on the album is beyond me, especially when there are so many great b-sides from that era. | |
