| again here manson's evoking the relationships between "marilyn" and "manson" , and between artists and killers. this song is quite a pun b/c part of when its saying "next motherfucker's gonna get my "metal" he meant both killing the bullies with his metal lunchbox (it can be relating how being bullied is like how society treats certain peopel like him), and becoming a "metal" rock star. | |

| This is the kind of song that get's guys like good old Marilyn Manson in 'trouble' in the media. It is an irresponsible promotion of school violence and I happen to love it. My best friend Kyle Gadhue commited suicide last year and this song was on a Manson mix CD he had burned for his own collection. I grabbed it when his girlfriend said I could have some of his stuff to remember him by. I had always listened to certain Manson songs on Burlington, Vermont radio station 99.9 THE BUZZ but I had never owned his albums, so I had never heard this song before finding it in my dead friend's collection. I think it is my favorite Manson song. I never knew about the metal lunchbox as a weapon thing so I am glad I read the prior entries on this site for this song. I always thought it was about Columbine High School but maybe I have it backwards and the Columbine High School attack was about this song! Life imitating art imitating life.... | |
