Akasha -- the background lyrics are a fictional sampling of a lunchroom fight. He is trying to eat his lunch, and the school bully is messing with him, trying to provoke a fight. The "something falling over" is his lunchtray being dumped on the floor, then you hear the bully laugh.

The kid in the song is Robert Pierce. After putting in one line, he and his dad tried to mold a goth career for him. He put out an album of his own when he was about twelve or so, and marketed by saying he 'dueted' with Manson on this song and in the video.

Well, I do think that in many ways it could be autobiographical. However, I was watching "Driven" on Motley Crue, and it said that as a little boy, Nikki Sixx used to get picked on by bullies. So little Nikki put a bunch of rocks in his metal lunchbox and beat the hell out of them to get them to leave him alone. And we all know that little Nikki Sixx grew up to become a rock god, which fits the song. And Manson did do a lot of research about different bands, so I think Manson probably wrote this song orginally about Nikki Sixx but also related it to himself because he felt the same way, and he used to carry around a lunchbox when he was older and no one else did, yadda yadda. Anyway, that's my opinion.

Frau sounds right, but I'm gonna put my take on it anyway Seems to me like the story of a kid who's always bering picked on by the bullies. The next person who f*cks with him is gonna get a metal lunchbox upside the head (or something concealed in to lunchbox. Kidna makes me think of me. The bullies pik on me all the time, and it's about time for me to get back at them. One person I already have. A kid who has picked on me since the 4th grade. One time when we were in teh 7th or 8th grade he pushed me too far, and I saw him at his locker after lunch. So I walked up behind him, and I meant to shove the top of his head into his locker and freak him out, not hurt him (I do it to myself all the time) and he tried to pull abck, so his face got slammed into the locker, almost breaking his nose and causing him to cry. What makes me most proud of it is that I only got 1 day of detention as punishment.

My guess is that this cool song is about a bullied kid who eventually get really frustrated and lashes out on the bullies who have oppressed him. The kid uses the lunchbox as a weapon. The kid also knows that in the future the bully is gonna be a nobody and the kid is working towards being a kick ass rockstar It's probably autobiographical, Marilyn Manson is a dope rock star, used to be bullied, and collects lunchboxes.

Lunchbox shows the problems that Manson faces as he matures. It's autobiographical in many ways, in that Manson was known to carry a lunchbox during his youth, while also being something of a social outcast. One question though, can anyone discern the spoken background lyrics that occur during the intermissions? I can pick out "I just want to eat my lunch", and the sound of something falling over, but that's more or less it, anything else?
