	what means the title? kinderfeld would mean, translated from german, something like "children-field" but how does the title relate to the song? by the way, the song is really great,like most manson songs

	This is a storyline track. Antichrist Superstar is about the end of the world, and follows on from Mechanical Animals (which carries on from Holy Wood). Wormboy meets his idol, Omega from Mechanical Animals, who tells him to fuck off. Long story short, this makes Wormboy pissed, his anger manifests into The Disintegrator, the Anti-Christ. Angel With The Scabbed Wings is when Wormboy first sees The Disintegrator in his full form. "Then I got my wings and I never even knew it." Wormboy realises that he is Disintegrator, and this causes Disintegrator to be unleashed in Anti-Christ Superstar, and then destroys the earth. Very good satirical view of celebritarianism.

	I agree with the others above about it being about his grandad, as it corresponds to lot's of similarities in his biography about his grandparents. Also, the various shifting of voices, different persona's, is a key feature in children who have sufferent abuse, it is a defense mechanism to adopt a different persona who is more capable and stronger than the victim percieves themself to be. It's a very dark song indeed.

	That's interesting...I'd never seen the bylines of which lyrics belonged to which person... Is Jack the character from AntiChrist superstar? He also appears in "Cruci-Fiction in Space" (if Jack was a Baptist, we'd drink wine from his hand). And I think that Manson (or whomever the main character is) would be "having become the worm". Another thing...this song, or an earlier version of it, was originally titled "Smells Like Children", being the title track of that album. A few lyrics changed, and the worm references are expanded upon, but it's mostly the same. I wonder...if Kinderfeld is the era during which Manson, having been made a worm by society, becomes the Angel With the Scabbed Wings, then why is it AFTER "Angel with the Scabbed Wings" on the album?

	this is an amazing song! its about his grandfather. hands are cracked and dirty and the nails are beetle wings,that referse to his grandfathers hands--old,and brittle from working!scab knees will obey,i had to kneel on broom sticks just to make it go away--thats when his grandmother made him kneel on broom sticks when we got into trouble! its a kick ass song,one of his verybest!
