yeah...the line "Ima saint got a date with suicide" and the constant refrences to religion may also be interpreted as him expressing that he feels like these people were portrayed perfectly and you have to be like THEM to not go to hell (which is not true!!! if you don't want to go to hell, you just have to believe in god and jesus christ!)I don't know...thats sorta what I thought what I thought when I heard it.

I also get, along with the video, a kind of homosexual theme in the chorus, "I wanna live, I wanna love, but it's a long, hard road out of hell." With the video conveying a lot of gender ambiguity and homosexual sex, it seems to be the case. The narrator seeks to avoid what he has been taught will cause damnation in order to be "holy", but the result scars him emotionally. A side theme, to be certain, but a present one nevertheless, I believe.

Now that you say it, the homosexual theme makes complete sense.
