| this song is originally a song by patti smith. unlike what the title suggests this song is actually about discrimination and being cast aside because you are different in such when manson stared to perform this song he had alot of trouble with the pigs because they did not understand the song . at one of his concerts in toronto ontario he was told not to perform it of course he still did but he got one of his freind carter who happened to be black to do the parts with the word nigger | |

| this is a cover. the original song is by patti smith, i think. it's just not what it seems to be about. it's about being different and not fitting into society. nigger is just a symbol for that. | |

| I love this song, completely agree with EcKoSpAm on this, too catchy for uh...school...i dunno, just one of my favorite manson songs (*side note* i find it odd how most of my favorite songs of artists end up being covers i.e. Hallowed be Thy Name, the freshman ....ect.) | |

| i don't understand why he would cover the very song he stole his voice from. thank you, Ice, for misquoting the best line in the song. it's about the triumph of rock n' roll(invented by niggers) over the shame of being anything but a WASP. manson(as usual) contorts it to another egocentric anthem. he often uses nigger as a metaphor for outcast, in an attempt to associate himself w/ those that have been genuinely oppressed. nevermind the centuries of slavery or the permanent underclass that still exists to this day. | |

| Though I think the original version of the song is better, it's still great. I'm sort of borderline against even this use of the word "nigger", even though it makes sense in terms of the song. It is a bit like people who say that "nigger" can also mean a stupid person, but it doesn't; it is still a sickeningly racist term against Africans no matter what (it comes from the word "negro"/black...come on people...). In that, I agree with InciTe. Still, the word does work to mean "outcast" I guess, and it did succeed in getting a rise out of people, which is what MM is very good at. Don't get me wrong, he is one of my favorite musicians--I just disagree with him a bit here. | |

| as many others have stated " nigger" is stated for an outcast. manson is just tryin to show that there is a world full of accepted people with no room for an outcast. | |

| I might like this song, if it didn't have any racial slurs in the title. For some reason, this song made me lose a bit of respect for manson. Im not sure if he meant it that way... but he could have been more tastedul and used a different word. | |
