i thought it said "there was blood on the pavement". preciouss, he doesn't have an obsession with JFK, he just seems to be good subject in a song because he's still such a huge figure and in a song if you're going to try and get a point across, JFK is a very wise choice to get that point across

He probably doesn't use JFK as JFK but as an erm, icon of worship.
