Here is my take, consistant with the book. Cerpin is a savior in this world he went to while in the coma. In the book, he was turned into a war machine/animal who, at the end of eriakata, he was killed and left buried in the desert. When he was uneathered, he was burned and buried under a statue. He later was brought back as a ghost named moatilliata, who aveneged the people of Metacarpi by killing hte derelict king. The giants who "unearthed" him refereed to him as the Hex Zero Rouge, some sort of chosen one. The end of this song is when he wakes from the coma. In the book, he has nightmares that the people still need him, that he is there savior and his work isnt done. They want him to come back and claim his throne. Cerpin is an anagram(or whatever that word is) for prince. This is why he kills himself at the end.

There Is alot of confusion on when Cerpin actually dies. I personaly and stongly beleive he dies at the end of Apparatus becaouse it has that reverse sanre at the end and that would be your life flashing before you eyes and the next song is televators with is much slower and if you take into mind the way he dies there would be more addeneline pumping so wouldnt make more sense for the song to be fast?

Moatilliatta is the badass highly evolved final version of Cerpin Taxt complete with wings and maybe even the power of Clavietika (makin' her enemies kill themselves with her powerful whale-like noises). Moatilliatta is the last of the great Teraquetzals and the savior of the tremulants. He demolishes the entire city of topiltzin, killing everyone and placing their bodies at the feet of Koral just before the final vengeance is unleashed and Koral is destroyed.

This song plays out in my head almost like an opera. I believe that this is the scene where Cerpin is revived by the giants and transforms into Moatilliatta. The line, "Is that you, Moatilliatta?" is actually spoken by the giant king (Koral, was it?) and the part that starts with "this is the altar" is the part where Moatilliatta kills the giant's wife. I agree with you, x9. I think that Cerpin wakes up from the coma here and kills himself somewhere in between here and the beginning of Televators.

This story, rushed and crazy as it sounds, is not a psychotic prelude to his suicide. Cerpin is persuaded by his comatose hallucinations, his demons, to end his physical existence by jumping from a bridge. This is not to end his life, but to transcend his body into a spiritual form. After this, he recovers from his coma and severs all connections with friends and family before finding his bridge on an agreed date, believing that he had passed all the required tests to move into his purer existence on the other side. He did not view it as suicide at all. Instead, the concrete that he dove into was a gateway, an exit.

I don't know how much this has to do with the actual story that is told. To me the lyrics makes me think Moatilliatta is death or tragedy. It reminds me of a Twighlight Zone episode of this old woman who became secluded in her house because she knew if she went outside, that death would get her in some way, shape, or form. Its like death is hiding around every corner, but in disguise. Some stuff that might support that is: "Can you cure us of this fate?" "Prefect, dictate your final words." "And now it won't be long." I don't know if I am correct. Its just an idea I had since I havn't really seen any shots at explaining this song.
