This is one of my favourites, expresses the sadness of the end of a relationship that didn't do us any good, but still was important to us...maybe inside we thought it was the right person, so it does hurt. You must have spent great times with her/him so you did get along and you still recall those moments and it's hard to end if for good. And it must be about abuse as well...the woman taking advantage of his weakness. I love some lines in here...my favourite, the one I love is "So go on, wreck me, funny how I carry on and not be taken..over"...it remains me that no matter how bad this guy hurts me...I will be fine in the end, and I will know how to handle it...(hopefully).

This song is a great one. Matchbox twenty's debut CD is great, I love almost every song on it.

Same here, Gabigs. "So go on, wreck me Funny how I carry on, and not be taken over..." It's like he's trying to show her that he's fine on his own, and I like that, because it's the way I am. He's trying to prove her wrong, I guess. GREAT song. One thing about Rob Thomas is that he can write a song that barely rhymes at all, and somehow it just works. He's awesome.

This song for some reason didn't hit me until I got out of a certain relationship. Anyway... Starting when they meet each other they are getting along. But as the relationship is progressing he starts to notice she is using him to get what she wants. But all of his feelings cover his judgement to leave her before she tries to hurt him more. So he just takes it without a second thought. She decides it doesn't work out (guessing after he stops giving her what she wants) and he doesn't care for it much. But when it was all over his friends were on his side all along.

I love some key lines in this song. "I know, but I still Believe in ignorance as my best defense" and "We get along so we shouldn't argue"
