| "The beat for this song is actually perfect for running away from someone. I was running from the cops one night and I was running at the same beat ,I swear." Don't know about you running from cops, but the video has the band running from a bunch of kids. It's been a while since I saw it, but I think they jump off a building, into water (where the chase continues and the kids pick off the rest of the band), and onto a soccer pitch. Matt runs right at the kids, who savage him, and he wakes up. So there could be an insomnia metaphor there, I suppose. And when the kids go after the band members, are they trying to attack them or worship them? I'm not sure, but leaning towards violence. | |

| This is the only song i've heard from them so far, but i think i'll just state the obvious: the guy sounds like Michael Stipe. Good song | |

| It seems like a bunch of thoughts jumbled together, and most of them are dealing with feeling alienated from the rest of society (as blender said), and screwing up relationships with people (or rather never being able to develop any). The lines: --------------------- and hey are you you know? and hey are you special? and hey are you deformed? hey ya you are --------------------- Just seem to me to be looking at yourself, and wondering why you don't fit in anywhere. I take the first line as asking if one's self is gay (or something along those lines), second is asking if one is too stupid/too smart of everyone, third is asking if there is something horrible wrong with yourself, and then coming to the conclusion that all are true. And the rest of the lines seem like some sort of drug use to forget all of those problems, and bring your mind to peace. This is probably my favorite MGB song, along with music video (the part on the soccer field is kinda illustrates the alienation). | |

| Well, I remember a plane crash(not 9/11) that involved a bomb, and it was hidden in the overhead(hence the lyric"ticking in the overhead") and there was no actual motive found for the attack (/and hey are you you know?/and hey are you special?/and hey are you deformed?/) but I can't remember the name of the incident.(no comment about your personal life drgonzothx) | |

| In this song Matt seems to think that he's isolated from the rest of society,"a million miles from nowhere.." and because of this isolation he feels "frantic," and "so, so deformed." To combat this feeling of isolation he turns to drugs "load me up," and "Whatever puts me all the way out." thats what I think anyway. | |

| Acrually if you read the lyrics, it sounds like he was in a plain crash, and he survived but he's trapped in the middle of the ocean. And he slowly dies and he thinks about how fucked society is | |
