Jenni's Song
Matthew Good Band
>From the album "Beautiful Midnight"
Tabbed by Shane (futureisxrated@hotmail.com)
Another great song, but really freakin' simple for the bass player.
I'm pretty sure all the notes are there, just figure out
where the parts go, and timing.
STANDARD TUNING
INTRO
G|--------|----------------------------|
D|--------|----------------------------|
A|--------|-----0-0-0-0--4-4-4--4-4-4-4|
E|-4-2-0-0|--0-------------------------|
VERSE
G|-----------------------|
D|-----------------------|
A|-------4-4------0-0----|
E|--0-0------4-4------4-2|
PRE-CHORUS
G|----------------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------------|
A|-----------------2-2--------------------|
E|--0-0--4-4--5-5-------0-0--4-4--5-5--2-2|
CHORUS
G|---------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------|
A|------------2-2--4-4------------2-2-2-2|
E|--5-5--0-0------------5-5--0-0---------|
BRIDGE A
x2 x1
G|--------------------|---------------------------------------|
D|--------------------|---------------------------------------|
A|-0--0-2--2-4--4-----|-0--0-2--2-4--4-6--6-0--0-2--2-4--4-4-4|
E|----------------4--4|---------------------------------------|
BRIDGE B (same rhthym and chorus)
G|------------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------------|
A|-------2-2--4-4------------2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2|
E|--5-5------------4-4--5-5-----------------|
Then there's a tacit (no bass), and when it picks up again play this:
G|-------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------------------------------------|
A|-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2------------2-2--4-4------------2-2-2-2|
E|------------------5-5--0-0------------5-5--0-0---------|
Then play the intro again I think. This song is a little too simple, but
it's great
just like all MGB songs. Ahhh, only 3 weeks til the concert... wonder if
Rich will let me
touch his bass...

| From what i've read Matt Good say about this song on a fansite, he wrote this song about a girl "jenni" he had a long term relationship with. "Apparently, 'Jenni' and Matt were married for a brief time. Jenni, was abused by her father for most of her life, and while married to Matt, things slowly began to come together, and Matt realized what she had gone through in her life. Jenni ended up killing her father." You can read a manifesto Matt wrote about her on [url="www.runningforhome.net"] Who know's how much of its true knowing Matt Good. I love this song, when matt sings: "I used to think I was invisible beside you i'd crumble You wait for it and you wait for it and it's gone And you wake up and nobody knows that I loved you buried alive " I get shivers | |

| His wife's name is Jennifer Good. So I'm guessing this is some sick love song towards her. Good song. | |
