The one line that some of you failed to mention is "The strange days have come and you're gone either dead or dying either dead or trying to go" Sums up the theory of suicide.

unquestionably the best song of all time. it cant truly accurately be described in words, its all about the feelings you get when you listen to it

Probably my favorite MGB song. I love the lines "Do you drift off, to wake up," sorta like do you sleep just to wake up, it makes ya think. Also, "do you always hit the brakes," I like that philosophy of not holding back all the time.

I think this song is about waking up one day and just wondering what the hell you are doing with your life. It is very "Fight Club" almost... in the way how the person describes the cars and the city. Its like wondering what happened to your dreams and aspiration. You fall alseep and all of a sudden your working 9-5 in a job you hate and living for very little. Am I crazy to want this kind of life? The line about drifting off is the person trying to feel alive again... it is a beautiful song and it is very interesting how some of the lyrics about the boredom and the ideas the mind comes up with (Imagining the cars falling into a wall of fire...). I don't know what this song is about... but that is how I feel it.
