| "I don't do drugs anymore... than the average touring funk band" - Bill Hicks. Definitely a cheeky reference I think. | |

| The "touring funk band" line is a reference to the comedian Bill Hicks. | |

| this song has nothing to do with either bill hicks or ecstasy. like so many of their songs it is tongue-in-check: my dick is bigger than yours; my dad is tougher & richer than yours; we are more harcore than you will ever be (we take more drugs than you). | |

| It seems to me that McLusky writes songs about the people in their group of friends, and that no one in the general public will ever understand them. I have no basis for this statement, but it's what I think of when I listen to them. | |

| I always reckoned "My love is bigger than your love" was a more poetic way of saying "My dick is bigger than your dick". Which is poetic enough anyway. | |

| what the...is there some kind of censor on ecstasy? I think it could be about ecstacy, but I don't think it's one of their better songs | |

| I have no idea where you got the bit about ecstasy from... I don't think that McLusky tend to have references which are quite as vague as you're suggesting, preferring the completely random gibberish style of music (which is much more entertaining :D) As with most of the rest of their music, the lyrics take on a childish nature, and in this case I think it's fairly obvious that as Colly said, they're making fun of all the "I'm better than you because my things are better" conversations children have... and then (at least, this is what I'm hearing), they're taking it a little further with the line "And We're all Going Straight to Hell" mocking the tendencies of the Christian faith in that they are talking about their god being the greatest god and everyone else is going to hell, in a much similar fashion to children. I guess what they're trying to say is that Christians are just big children (although more subtly). However, that's just my opinion, and I only formed that opinion during the time it took to write this comment LOL. | |

| i also find it funny that they have a 'my dad is bigger than yours' lyric. their label mates electrelane have a similar lyric in i want to be the president: 'my dad is stronger than yours, my tank goes faster than yours'... nothing important... just a though. | |
