	I think it could be a metaphor for the music scene which is like a war zone everyone coming in all starry eyed and hoping to make it big but everyone gets shot down and even if your the last ones around (the ones who made it big) you still gotta knock down all the little ones who are keeping it real and not selling out and that's just if you want to keep it up for now but if you want to be a real god you gota die young while you are still at the top of your game so you are forever in that spot Just my thoughts on what the song could mean but then again I'm stoned as fuck

	Fairly simple, but a damn good song still. In the story sense, he legion gets their asses kicked and ran down every which way, but the thought of being remembered forever as heros gets their spirits kicked back up, at which point they die with their boots on. Good soldier. It probably has a metaphorical sense, too, but eh... I'm sleepy.

	Though this is on Youthanasia, which was far from Megadeth's best work, this song is ace. It has so much meaning, and I love the instrument work. Heroes never die.
