IT'S ABOUT A WEREWOLF! not some animal instincts bullshit (except for the obvious). it's by no means a metaphor for themselves or man in general. stop TRYING to be more poetic than the poet.

This song is about humans wants and needs for basic primality , we all used to be hunters in a sense and i think Wolf is a metaphor for these needs within us PLUS METALLICA RULE

Again you guys go deep. It is about a warewolf. Every thing in life can be a metaphor of drugs. This song simply talks about warewolfs.

I'm reading Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse for one of my classes. I'm about 60 pages into it and this song poped into my head as soon as I got to one of the quotes. In Steppenwolf, Hesse talks about the sheer torture of idleness and "contentment" that rides between pain and pleasure. The character of Steppenwolf represents the half man half wolf that Hesse portrays the middle class man is. A man who on one side loves contentment and painless comfort and on the other side loves to romp through a house with muddy shoes on, not in destruction, but to live intensely and and with feeling. He abhors the lukewarm middle class life of medicority, of neitehr extreme.

Yes, this song is about a werewolf, but in my opinion it's also about the primitive and animalic instincts in everyone of us. This song kicks ass! I love it!!

eddie shut your mouth, you pompous little bitch. If people have other theories that are different then your narrow minded ones then it doesn't mean they're wrong. In fact.. if their theories are different then yours, they probably ARE right.
