This is the "Fight Fire With Fire" bass tab which is off the Ride The Lightning album. 
I play this song with a pick as I do with every MetallicA song. This tab may not be exactly 
how it is played from a book you may buy for Metallica bass tabs. But this is how I play it.

	to me, this is just about the golden rule that we all learned back in kindergarten... do unto others as you would like done unto you. in my translation: if someone pisses you off, by all means do the same back. fighting fire with fire. it may never end. they ended the song with as i feel is maybe saying thats not how its done. something can always become worse from going back and kicking ass... sadly...

	The album "Ride the Lightning" explores death and dying from different point of views. This one is about nuclear war.

And while Cliff did do drugs, his band members encouraged him to lay off while on tour and with them. Kirk also did drugs in his Exodus days, but quit when he joined Metallica.
