Nah I don't agree.... I think this isn't your average sing about a load of shit MSI song, this is a proper serious song! He doesn't want people to pity him, and when he tells them that they tell him to fuck off or whatever, "screw you, the sentiments the same my friend", his life has never been a bed of roses, it's never been great or right, but I don't know what he's done, the path he chose.... sh-t I don't know, ah well...

This song is about the stage past self-pity. Where you break down and accept everything that you hate because you're tired of pity from yourself and from everyone else. It's just like 'hey, my life has never been a bed of roses, i don't need your pity'.

I agree with Soulfly about the people who say such things to get attention, but the song is a whole different story. It seems to be a note left behind by someone who already did die and the song is what's left of them to be remembered, since everything in the song is sung in past tone. The songs meaning though seems to just be a careless life where the person got no attention, no love, and had nothing so why keep going? Sadly that person didn't and now that the persons gone no one should feel sorry since they never tried anything before.

I do not agree with Soulfly about talking about committing suicide only for attention. If someone is sick enough to talk about killing themself there is obviously something wrong and they need help - no matter if you think they will actually do it or not. By the time you read a suicide note it's probably to late to save that person's life. I think people who commit suicide leave notes or poems because it's not like they can go up to their loved ones and be like "I wanted to let you know I love you and I am going to kill myself." It is not left to be evidence - their dead body is evidence. Some artists write songs about it - doing it - but it's just a song. Some find suicide fascinating or frightening - or maybe just because it fits in their song. But when a person actually turns around and talks about doing it - wanting to do it - then we need to take that seriously before it's too late. If you are the person they choose to talk to about it - make it your responsibility to help them or find someone who can.

This is off their 1995 album. That whole thing was serious, its an ok album. This song is also ok. Only ok... The nonsensical stuff is better.

I agree with nick.. get a life, stop talking about suicide.. this is supposed to be "what the lyrics mean", not our personal accounts of what suicide means to us.... jesus

it's a song. mindless is rarely serious and when they are they still aren't. so you all wasted your time with this suicide discussion. ha ha ha. grow up a little and learn to look at things in different ways or else you may keep wasting your life on small pity trivialized things such as these. Thank you. now go to bed.

(Not all my post was posted)... If you've listened to newer MSI stuff, it's very anti-emo, anti-bitchy, and they are just crazy and like to have fun =D. Maybe this song's about a friend, or maybe Jimmy was Emo, but if he was, he's done a 180 (songs like "You'll Rebel to anything" and "Backmask"). do you know where i could get my hands on some of Jimmy's old stuff? that would be so kick ass

Sorry, I got the assumption it was about his life always being shit, and how he's sick about people feeling sorry for him.

I love love LOVE MSI! it looks to me like he want to kill himself cuz his life's never been a "bed or roses" meaning it sucks but he doesnt want people to be sorry for him because they say the same thing all the time and it doesnt help.

this is the first song i heard by msi and i fell in love with them instantly. this song is, i think, as personal and emotional as msi can get without losing the magic of their music. you can take this seriously or not, but either way i think it touches all of us and many i think, can relate to having a crappy life and resigning to accursed existance. he just wants to talk about it, not make people feel sorry for him and thats the greatest way to deal with pain.

I think it's kinda like saying, His life has never been easy, but it's the path he chose, so he's going to stick with it, through all the hard times, and he doesn't want anyone to feel sorry for him in any way.
