Major scales all go off a certin patttern
R-Root note
W-Whole Step
H-Half Step
You have to start with a root note.say you want to start with C
find a C on your bass,In standard tuning that would be the 3rd
fret on the A string.
Major scales go off of the formula W-W-H-W-W-W-H
so it would be C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C
That is probably the easiest one cause in the key of C there are
no sharps or flats
So the tab for that scale would look something like this
G:--------0-2-4-5------
D:--0-2-3--------------
A:3--------------------
E:---------------------
That Formula Goes the same for any major scale
