I'm thinking that this song is about homelessness, and the way it seperates you from things. The line 'I can't speak, I can't hear, but i know i'm real" Maybe thats to do with the idea that when your homeless, nobody listens to you and will say whatever around you because your not a person to them, so to speak. Looking at the lyrics, thats how i interpret it.
