| such an awesome, awful song... Kills me in a beautifully miserable way everytime. I defy anyone to listen to this and "Edit the Sad Parts" back to back without spraying fresh wrist blood all over the place. | |

| Notice the part where he makes fun of people with loud stereos and lowriders? "Hi-fi Gods try so hard to make their cars low to the ground" and "Primer gray is the color when you're done dying" Can't figure out why that is included... maybe he just doesn't like lowriders with loud stereos | |

| I think this song is about something which is troubling a person and this thing come back every day ("Polar oppsites don't push away," "I'm trying to drink away the part of the day That I cannot sleep away") and the only way to escape the depression or any other bad feeling is to resort to alcoholism. | |

| Why does this song only have 9 replies. It's one of their best. I love the instrumental part at the end and the lines "Drink away the parts of the day that I cannot sleep away." are just so spot on. | |

| the slow and bittersweet tone of the song backs up everything you guys have said already about weekends. without the lyrics, it sounds like it should be happy, but we know mm wouldn't write a song like that. just like weekends are supposed to be a happy and relaxing time, but you still end up trying to deal with the suckiness most of the time. | |

| I don't understand the last verse either. Primer grey seems to be the color of a car that has been primed but not painted yet. My guess is this is something not meant to actually make sense. Probably just imagery that Issac used or something personal that happened to him. | |

| I used to hate Modest Mouse, then I listened to this song, now MM is my favorite band. This is my favorite MM song, along with 'Broke.' It's a pretty self explanatory song. I love ittt. | |

| Ok I think I have an idea on the primer gray lyric. When you get a dent removed from a car, the paint is gone and its primer gray till you can get it repainted. so if you got t boned and you were in the passanger seat, you would be dead, the dent would get removed and it would be primer gray. I dont know I just thought of it listening to the song. | |

| Yeah, this is definitly a really good song, surprised it's not more replies. The actual lyrics are really depressing, but the music is upbeat. I like singing along with it, especially the "I"M TRYIING." Haha, I love MM | |
