| I believe this song is about having a positive attitude in your life. Life doesn't own you, and no matter the hardships you encounter time will smooth things out and happiness will come around again. Also, there is the indirect reference about things that give you much joy in life are also coupled with the pain of their loss, but that is the nature of life, so roll with it, enjoy the memories of the good times and, soon you'll be happy again. | |

| i forgot where but i read and i agree that this song is saying to always be optimisic also saying "if it takes shit to make bliss well then i feel pretty blissfully" means he went through shit in life and now hes happy referring to "float on" saying even if life is bad right now it will get better like everything else does | |
