no i havnt noticed that, but if there is any similarities it would be more like guerilla radio sounds exactly like truckers atlas, since this song came out long before guerilla radio.

come on kids the song is about doing a shit ton of coke off of a road atlas and by the end of the song he realizes that he's bombed lines off of almost every page in the atlas

i agree with this song being a drug reference, but i pull more towards it referring to methamphetamine than cocaine, because there are many references to speed on other modest mouse songs, and speed is a cheaper, more small-town drug, while cocaine is more expensive and decidedly more "glamorous". "i did lines" is a clear reference to snorting some sort of powdered drug.

i think its about coke too. " i don't feel and i feel great" reference to the high you "feel" from coke. ie you cant feel your face and such.

exactly. "i sold my atlas by the freight stairs" i dont know about you guys, but this makes me think of what it would be like to do coke in a way. as a result of the social stigma placed on coke (and rightfully so in my opinion) and the fact that coke turns people crazy with addicition (ive seen it happen) in a way its almost like you are selling your soul or atlas when do that shit, the term 'coke whore' comes to mind. "we write our maps in the stalls" i think its not a little known fact that the bathroom stall is a good place to..."write your maps" if ya know what i mean.

I think this song is more about his love to travel then drugs. I mean, the drugs are involved in the whole traveling thing. Staying up late to make time. At one point I thought this song was about selling coke to truckers....

Since no one else is commenting, I'm just going to say that "I don't feel and it feels great" is one of the best lines ever written.

The drum beat to this song is so unique. When hes like, "do you speak lingo?'' i Think of his drumbeat and is sounds like lingo for drums. I dont know I'm fried.
