gotta love this song. but what does it mean to you guys? when i hear it i think of sex. perhaps that's just me. "out of the shower, on to the bathroom floor"... etc.

the guy takes a shower to get clean, and just as soon gets back into the world and gets dirty (digging his hands into the casserole in particular gives him the dirty fingernails). the point is you can be clean in your little shower, but once you go out into the great outdoors, you won't be. the dirty fingernails in the casserole is a simple little metaphor but it's awesome. plus, the screaming adds to the desperation of it. great song

CRYSTAL METHAMPHETAMINE FREAKOUT! Most of the time your fingernails really are dirty, the rest of the time you think they are, and all of the time you are severely focused on the dirt under your nails and extremely determined to conguer and clean them but never satisfied.

you never can get rid of all of the dirt in your life, or in the world. no matter how much you wash your hands you very seldomnly get your fingernails clean, and if you do, there right back dirty......as soon as you get out of the shower. when you wash your hands before you eat, as soon as you sit down theres germs right under the very casserole (or how ever you spell it) that your eating. So maybehew had a freind that was a compulsive cleane or a germaphobe or something. so he's trying to always convey the fact that theres always going to be dirt in you life wrather physically or metaphorically. the connection may be wrather bland, but hell the song is way out there, and I actually didnt think of that until I read Spikey's interpretation on it, before I just used to like the song. thanks Spike!

For some reason I interpret this as a suicide song, which is most probably NOT what Isaac meant while writing it, but still... "out in the kitchen, underneath the casserole" makes me invision someone with their head in the oven, while "out of the shower, onto the bathroom floor" makes me think of bleeding to death or overdosing on the bathroom floor. "Out on the patio, out in the great outdoors," as someone previously mentioned, seems like moving forward, away from everything, to something bigger.

it takes a lot of energy to make that sound. I am always wondering what sound he is talking about. but talking about fingernails makes me think of running nails down a chalkboard, and it would take a lot of my energy to try and do that.

lol you know he wrote this song when he was feeling dirty, and he was just like damn! I need to write about how i feel right now. Isaac needs a book, or a movie!

This song feels just like Schizophrenia does. Have you ever wondered What, exactly, has the Dirty Fingernails? Or what is coming out of the shower? Or what is in the kitchen? This and Exit Does Not Exist are very schizophrenic songs. That most likely wasn't the intent of the artist, but they describe it well.

the music in this song is basic but REALLY REALLY good. I could sworn I left a comment on this song a long time ago but whatever. I really like all the bends isaac does.

Fingernails get dirty when preparing drugs. You can do drugs in many places around the house and put them in food if ya like. There it is. :)
