This New York, USA-based lo-fi unit comprises Adam Green (b. 28 May 1981, Mount Kisco, New York, USA) and Kimya Dawson (b. USA). The duo creates songs that are silly but lovely, laugh-out-loud funny and touching. Although the pair draw on the detritus of childhood/adolescence and often appear on stage in silly costumes - Green usually as Robin Hood, Dawson frequently as a bunny or a lioness - songs such as "D2 Boyfriend" and "Jorge Regula" have a pointedness and poignancy at their core.
