| To me, this song represents human nature. Humans want everyone to do as they do, and be "one of us". But on the opposite side of that, each one knows the others will betray them despite best intentions & however well they fit in. In this context, trust would be more akin to faith. That being said, this song seems to be retaliatory in a way. The singer is explicitly declaring this particular ugliness of human society. The tone is even kind of suggestive of this. Well, whatever it means, I give it an A+ for the passion of the singer, and the positively infectious rhythm :) | |
