and the name of the song should be "Time Turned Fragile." it's from the Limbeck song "Julia."

i think it sounds like he is reminiscing/talking to someone he knew a long time ago. then again other parts make it seem like father to son or something . idkkk

it makes so much sense that it would be about him from his father's perspective. tiny hands, recycled cans and metal bands i could not stand the time you cried and threw your crayons across the floor *he's going through memories of him. from when he was really little and had tiny hands, and then recycled cans, maybe a phase? and then metal bands as he became a teenager. the crayons part about how when he was little he cried and threw his crayons across the floor. duh. these are the things i think about when i'm alone without you i wonder of your whereabouts and hope like hell you're happy where you are *he's saying that now that's justin's gone and grown up, he thinks about him all the time and wodners where he is and how he's doing, and wishes the best for him you used to say that you're just fine but i still wonder all the time *he's saying he knows all the songs and everything that justin has written about him being fine and him always telling him that, but he still worries that he's really not. any parent would. hockey games, medical claims police reports, terrible grades but jay i'm so proud of all the things that you have done. *he's saying, he remembers all the problems his song has had, the police incidents, the bad grades, things that would make him cringe, but he wants him to know that he's still proud of his son no matter what. these are the things i think about when i'm alone without you i wonder of your whearabout and hope like hell you're happy where you are *same thing i'm all right i'm all right but i can see through everything you said and all the lessons i never learned *he's saying he knows his mistakes, and knows that his son will ultimately make the same ones, and that he's really not okay. he knows that his son will have problems and it sounds like the "i'm alright, i'm alirhgt" part is almost justin telling his father that he's fine and his father is saying, i can see through everything you say and all the lessons i never learned. do you believe in the stories told to you by my friends and i when you were four years old how it got so cold, our words just froze we had to wait till summer to find out what was said one of the best times that we had. *he's reminiscing about it, just remembering stories he's told his son.

I could still see a lot of other interpretations but that's the one I think of when listening to it

I think its childhood friends, someone he has lost touch with, someone he used to be very close with. Wondering if your best friend from your childhood and growing up is still ok. Just my thoughts.

justin has said that it's written in the perspective of his dad.

yeah. sangre de is right. they played an instore and he explained it was about his father. even without him saying that, it makes sense that it's about his dad.
