Great song. It looks like it's about how self sacrafice is pointless without a reward in the afterlife.

one more thing.... the (apparent) meaning of the song is an issue not often tackled. For another one that does talk about this see the equally cool "Snap Your Fingers Snap Your Neck" by Prong.
