Squeeze Me Macaroni - Mr. Bungle
Tabbed by Dan Massicotte

This is a pretty hard, and fun, song to play. I suggest slapping wherever possible.
I tabbed it as accurately as possible. if you have any corections, or comments, don't
be afraid to e-mail me: lt_d4n@yahoo.com

Here we go!

Verse: "i wanna...."

|----------------|----------------|
|--------------1-|--------------3-| play 3 times
|----------1-2---|-5-5-x3-5-3-5---|
|-4-4-x2-4-------|----------------|

Then on 4th, play:

|----------------|---------------|
|--------------1-|---------------| That leads into the
|----------1-2---|-5-5-x3-53-----| "knick knack patty whack" part
|-4-4-x2-4-------|-----------4-2-|

"knick Knack Patty Whack....."

|------------------|-------------|------------------|------------|
|-----0-1-0-1--1-0-|-------1-2-3-|-----0-1-0-1--1-0-|------------|
|------------------|-------------|------------------|------x-1-1-|
|-1----------------|-4--1--------|-1----------------|-4-4--------|

Repeat 2 times, then:

"i was givin head.." "on the spread of my bead"

|---| |------------| |-3-x--3-4----|
|---| hold 1 bar |------------| 4 times |----5--------|
|---| |------------| |----------3--|
|-1-| |-0--3-3-----| |-------------|

"French kissing..."

|----------| |-4-|
|----------| |---| pop that note hard
|------1^2-|play 3 times |---|
|-3-3------| |---|

|------------------------|
|------0------2---1------| slap this part
|---------------------4--| 3 times.
|-3-3-----x-x---x---x----|

On the 4th time do this:

|--------------------|
|------0-------2-1---|
|------------------4-|
|-3-3-----x-x--------|

play this 3 more times

|------------------------|
|-----0-------2---1------|
|---------------------4--|
|-3-3----x-x----x---x----|

then:

|--------------|
|-2-1----2-1---| Trevor might be doing power chords here
|-----4------4-| to make it sound heavier, but i think
|--------------| its just guitar.

Now repeat it all!
(different lyrics though)

Weird part. Half time

|-----------------------------------------------------|
|-----5------5------5-----5-----------------------1-2-|
|--------------------------------2-4---------2-4------|
|-3-3----3-3----3-3---3-3----1-3--------1-3-----------|

|-------------------------------------|
|-----5------5------------------------| repeat 2 times
|---------------------7-7-7---6--4----|
|-3-3----3-3----3-3-------------------|

The next part is hard to tab. Your better off just
improvising in the key of A or E. I usally use A
and it doesnt sound too bad. Try it for yourself.

Now for the crazy ass part:
Gotta have pretty quick slapping hands for this one.

|-----------------------|
|------0--6--5--4----3--| play 2 times
|-----------------------|
|-3-3----x--x--x---x----|

Then play:

|--------------------|--------------------------|
|------0---3-55-x-3--|----------5------5------5-|
|--------------------|--------------------------|
|-3-3----x-----------|-0-0--3-3----3-3----3-3---|

Play that part 3 times and then:

|-----------------------|-2----2------------|--------------------|---|
|------0--6--5--4----3--|---1----1----------|--------------------|---|
|-----------------------|-----------1-2-3---|-2-3-4-----3-4-5----|---|
|-3-3----x--x--x---x----|-----------------0-|-------1----------2-|-4-|

Back to the beginning

|----------------|----------------|
|--------------1-|--------------3-| play 4 times
|----------1-2---|-5-5-x3-5-3-5---|
|-4-4-x2-4-------|----------------|

Then a little thing where i dont think bass plays, but just for fun
i do percussive notes in the rythym.

|-x----x------x-|
|---------------|
|---------------|
|--x-x---x-x----|

Then back to:

|------------------|-------------|------------------|------------|
|-----0-1-0-1--1-0-|-------1-2-3-|-----0-1-0-1--1-0-|------------|
|------------------|-------------|------------------|------x-1-1-|
|-1----------------|-4--1--------|-1----------------|-4-4--------|

And fade out on that.

Hope you had fun!

Yeah. I can't listen to this song without cracking up. And it's always nice to play it for people who've never heard it before and watch their reactions. Priceless.

I didn't realise it was 'give your dog a boner' for ages, then when I realised it was even better. Ahh, Mr Bungle, I love you.

It might be worth noting that toward the end of the song, an excerpt from the film Blue Velvet comes in featuring Frank asking about "the fucking beers, man", who was a violent masochistic pervert. This goes on for quite a little while. So, perhaps this is a humorous song from the perspective of that film character.

The Mr Bungle album contained a few samples from Blue Velvet in a few of their songs: Love is a fist: "I want you to hurt me!" I can't remember the name of the song:"What are you looking at, f*kc? Don't you F*kingc look at me!"

Well, you have to be serious to write this down and remember the words every time you perform this song... and I thought that the girls of porn would have more comments. If this song is only about sex&food joking metaphors, then why would they put so much brand names in it ? It describes a lot of Hollywood (and USA) decadence in most funny ways, for real. I think that 'give your dog a bone' refers to typical consumer - you watch this decadence altough you don't participate it, so you got a bone while someone is chewing that meat. Yeah, MB are one of the funniest bands ever, but one of the most clever bands, too.

Mike Patton is notorious for his nonsense lyrics and clever word play. He's just being really gross here (he was only 18 when this album was written!) It's all about the brilliant precise delivery of this whacked out toungue twister (ever try singing along? I've seen people lose muscle control of their faces just trying!)Patton is a GENIUS!

Are Mr. Bungle songs ever about anything serious? Doubtful. Are they hilarious? Always! I mean, what else would you expect from a bunch of guys who call their style of music 'Clown rock'?

i think "circuscore" is a better word, and i'd see fantomas as more of a circuscore band than bungle. but anyway, this song is pure genious. only patton could think of so many food sex metaphors.
