	one of my fave Mudvayne songs. but i too have a hard time figuring out the metaphors and analogys used by Kud. but thats what Mudvayne always try to do, so mission accomplished. they are far from simple lyrics that go right to the point...like slipknot's constant "i hate you! i hate everyone!" lyrics even an idiot could figure out...you really have to read into Mudvaynes lyrics to under stand them, and that makes them great.

	this song reminds me of my druggy brother. Maybe sPaG was a follower as a child, and he started off with the basic drugs, liked them, then takes the attitudes of promoters and escalates them into his own values. sPag wont die of a drug overdose I bet, cause he knows too much about drugs. But like my brother, he gets depressed sometimes from drug use and acts like hes dead to the world. Anyway, this song doesnt make that much sense when he uses metaphors. Is this the song that people say the writer went on like 22 grams of mush or whatever, cause wtf I dont get the metaphors.

	The song, in my opinion at least, is about humans' tendency to try to escape from pain. We use countless drugs to escape. We are sedated so we are numb to the feeling of being in pain. This song outlines physical pain ailments, but it also paralells emotional pain. We worship anything that will sedate us (does your god come in a capsule or on a plate?), we find any way to numb ourselves from reality.

	Actually this song could have a different meaning and impression on each and every person who hears it. There was never meant to be one absolute meaning for everyone to just pick at and figure out. It will vary depending on you and your experiences. To me it's about drug addictions and how they come to bite you in the ass.
