come on people... it's about an alcohol problem. obviously. he is romanticising all these drinks...saying that it keeps him unfrozen (warming him up...either physically or personality wise. i.e.- alcohol being a way to loose your inhibitions) but eventually the alcohol turns on him like he states in the song....meaning what he once loved has now become a problem for him.

what about the bit where he sings 'you're so solid' what's that got to do with anything?

AAAAAARGH!! It's not "you're so solid" at all, it's "you're so sober". All of the lyrics written on this site are pure dodgy and I know being a massive muse fan for years and having seen the lyrics on the official site. Not. Solid.

I think this song is about alcoholism, how for whatever reason his addiction has acted as something that has stopped him from committing suicide. "And you're the only reason, That I remain unfrozen" I think it can be asumed that the after effects of large alcohol consumption has not helped him at all, but he is still hooked to it - "Suppose it stands to reason That you would turn on me." I guess you can say that there is a split line as to what this line could be, "You're so solid." I think that when he says, 'You're so solid' he's talking about an empty bottle, his moment of joy of drinking has stopped, the bottle is empty, no liquid remains but the soild. But it could also mean that it's hard, like a hard obstalce to overcome. I love muse.

It's either literally about booze or it's a metaphor. Here's hoping it's a metaphor.
