	I think that this song is about a guy who dates a girl whose parents are divorced, and as a result of the divorce, the girl can't fall in love. "But your daddy left you with no love" The guy in the song feels foolish for wasting a whole year on a girl who can't love him back. He realizes that her actions at the beginning of the relationship weren' sincere, and now she's shown her true colours. Its a pretty sad song.
