Nice and easy reggae song. Fun to play too. I did this from memory at my
work computer, so if everything is not 100%, then I wouldn't be surprised.

| This song is actually not about smoking the ganja. Dutchie=feeding pan used in a village. As for the references to it, this song was originally done by bob marley, called "Pass the Koutchie", which was about smoking dope. But when musical youth did it, they changed it to Dutchie instead of Koutchie. So the original version is about drugs, this one is about a feeding pan. sorry to disappoint you | |

| Sounds like they're puffing the magic dragon, because they didn't receive their food ration for the month, or something to that nature. "Smoke ah the weed mon" damit! now i got this song stuck in my head. | |

| You were right about a dutchie being a pan. But, "Pass the Koutchie" was not originally by Bob Marley (nor did Bob Marley ever do it), it's by The Mighty Diamonds. | |

| Actually, Dutchie is also the nickname for a Dutch Master Cigar -- (makes more sense than a song about passing a cooking pot considering where it came from) This online dictionary: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dutchie ...mentions cigar and also the pot definitions... it looks more like they just swapped one smokable for another - but hey - I wonder what Musical Youth would say about it ;) | |
