| This song..is just incredible..really powerful lyrics 'we can wash down this engagement ring with poison and keresone..we'll laugh,as we die..and we'll celebrate the end of things with cheap champagne' we'll celebrate the end of things with cheap champagne..one of my favorite lines of all time.'cheap champagne'..meanign cheap,as in 'we dont care'..the end is comming and we don't care.My opinion anyways.. I really love this song.*cough, view user name* | |

| I think Gerad is talking about how he killed his girl little by little everytime that they fought and argued, and they fought and argued everyday(see second verse). That's all I have any idea on, the last verse is a complete mystery to me. | |

| Another thing I'd like to add is a simple comment on the title and how it represents the song... Who needs drowning lessons right? When all you do is sink and drown and that's it? Yet, some of us endure so much that we can drown over-and-over. That's my answer to this song's message. | |

| its about gerards dream world and how in that world, he can "marry" her anytime he wants. but the reality is, she doesnt want him, so he decides hed much rather kill her so he can always have her. | |

| i agree with pinstriper. i think its about a relationship that was always on the rocks. they were always fighting, and, as said, he was killing her little by little. she wanted it to work, which is what the imaginary wedding gown, swallowed engagement ring, and rice grains/roses symbolize. he's saying it isnt going to work out, asking for "a thousand bodies piled up" if she chooses to stay, which still wouldn't be enough for him. the engagement ring, or potential future relationship, is poisoned and destroyed. he is ending the relationship and isn't too remorseful about it- "and we'll celebrate the end of things....without a sound i wish you away." thats what i thought, kind of. its harder to type. | |

| this song is amazing and the guitar riff is absolutely perfect for going nuts in the pit. i can't wait to see them again. As for this song, it's so dark and confusing that I don't think it's able to be cracked...i think Pinstriper got it the closest though | |

| For me, I don't have much info to back this up, the song is like a wedding scene and the people at the alter get murdered and the groom feels responsible. Or maybe he is because he called out a hit on her but then wanted to take it back. Yeah anyway thats what I see in my head when I listen to this song. I also feel that To The End on Three Cheers is like the sequel to this song, it's the murder scene after the murderes have happened at the wedding. | |

| Nonononnonononononononnononononno. It's all a giant reference to the second album. Demolition Lovers, they both get blown apart. Second Album, he's resurrected to kill A thousand evil men. Then he'll be able to bring her back to life. So they can get married and all that shit. It's about him keeping his woman's corpse in a well, waiting for the day he kills that 1000th guy. Biggets reference = "A thousand bodies piled up, I never thought would be enough to show you just what I've been thinking" Kthx Pwnd. | |

| This fucking song kicks ass. I got the CD from a friend as a gift. He told me that he knew that I was going to fall in love with them, because I’m very in to dark lyrics. I don’t know what this song is talking about, but is so fucking good that I really don’t give a fuck. They are very complex lyrics. Love from Salinas Cali | |
