| This song reminds me so much of the Summer of 2003. I had a circle of really close friends back then and we were always looking out for each other and we had a great time. There were hard times, but also some really great times. And a song we used to sing a lot around that time was 'I'm OK' by Christina Aguilera. Since then, things have changed quite a lot. We hardly see each other anymore but they still mean a lot to me and that makes me sad. I sometimes feel angry with them just for pointless things that don't matter. But i heard this and instantly felt it was what i wanted to say to them. I wanted to say i'm not OK. And some things still hurt me...but they don't hurt me anymore. I love them, and i miss them. But i don't think they really understood me the way i thought they did. Or maybe they understood me too much and that was the problem. So that's what the song means to me. This was also the first My Chemical Romance song i ever heard and i loved it then and i still love it now. It really is a great song and makes me feel all tingly. My favourite bit is 'Well i'm not OK, i'm not O fucking K!' because the singer sounds so pissed off and i like the way you can hear it in his voice. | |

| I downloaded this song the other day and really like it. Hopefully the new CD holds up to the expectations i have for it. I think the song is pretty self explanitory I read that this was a concept album where some guy dies either the girl kills him or something like that and he comes back to avenge his death so i think that can add some incite to all the songs on 3 cheers. | |

| Gerard himself has said that the song is about the fact that he kind of had this thing with some girl...and he was like in love with her...but she had a boyfriend. And she took all these slutty pictures with her boyfriend, and Gerard got all upset. The song's about him just...not being okay, at all, mentally nor emotionally. It's an answer to the ever-so-frequent question "Are you okay?" Most people will say that they're fine...even if they aren't.
