Biography
This pioneering electronic rock band, based in Dusseldorf, Germany, originally comprised Klaus Dinger (b. 24 March 1946, Germany; guitar, deliguitar, bass, vocals) and Michael Rother (b. 2 September 1950, Germany; guitar, Japanese banjo, percussion, vocals). Formerly of Kraftwerk, they broke away from this seminal act to form Neu! in August 1971. A third ex-member, Eberhard Krahnemann, joined them for live appearances.
