| you know what, forget what I said about the lead singer being an addict, I'm really not sure about that...this song and true faith might be about drugs, but that doesn't mean the lead singer is an addict | |

| To me, the title and the you got grey, green, blue eyes is about the temptation of looking for a moment of happiness in somebody's arms, oh you've got green eyes, your special, oh blue eyes.. The middle is the hope of breaking the cycle, so the I'll walk alone and find my soul is about doing the work you need to alone and not looking for the fleeting satisfaction. and the end is the realiztion that they just did it all over again.. | |

| I think this song is about a man who sleeps around a lot, never settling for any one woman in a relationship. Now that he's getting older, he's realizing as he looks back on his life that maybe the reason he is unhappy is BECAUSE he never settled down, never let anyone love him or let himself love anyone. I think he is realizing that he needs that love. I could be totally wrong on this, but looking at it in that context, it seems to make sense to me. | |

| New Order rocks, even now in the 21st Century. It connects, it feels, it relates to almost all of us. -dj | |

| The Greatest New Order Song. (sure Blue monday is good, but this is still better) What does this song mean to me? Up down turn around please dont let me hit the ground! Get so involved with your life that you forget where you really stand, So you go out and find yourself, only to realize everything you've done wrong. You feel so helpless because you can't change the past (Bolts from above hurt the people down below etc...) | |

| I love this song. It's the first New Order song I'd ever heard; my mom played it for me before she ran off to God knows where. I can listen to it and feel hope for my life... Plus, my eyes change colors, from blue to green to grey! My dad laughed at me when I said that the song reminded me of myself. | |

| It's always been to me the essential New Order song, even though it's all mass rad. I've pissed people off so many times just singing the "oooh"'s at the end for the last good, oh 5 or 6 minutes | |

| More than one people here have said that this is their fav New Order song, but I'm gonna have to go all the way out and proclaim this as my favourite song ever. Read Peter Browns excellent essay http://www.anonymousjuice.com/print/2/neworder.html for a more articulate view on this wonderful song. | |
