Subject: Newsboys, "Elle G." Bass Tab (fwd)
The following is bass tab for Elle G. By Newsboys recorded on GOING PUBLIC
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
---0--3--5--5--5--5--5--5--3--3--3--3--0--37--7--7--7--7--7--0--0--0--0
------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's the opening riff, it's played 4 or 5 times
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
--0--0--0--0--0--0--0--0--3--3--3--3--3--3--3--3--0--0--0--0--0--0--0--0
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
--3--3--3--3--3--3--3--3-----------------------------------------------
This is between the opening and the chorus, right before the chorus the G
is repeated an extra 8 beats for a total of 16
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
--0--0--0--0--0--0--0--0--5--5--5--5--5--5--5--5------------------------
--------------------------------------------------3--3--3--3--3--3--3--3-
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------3--3--3--3--3--3--3--3-------------------------
--3--3--3--3--3--3--3--3-------------------------0--0--0--0--0--0--0--0--
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
--3--3--3--3--3--3--3--3------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
That is the chorus it usually repeats twice, at the end of the chorus it
goes back into the intro riff, and then repeats the entire loop again.
There is a little riff in the middle that I haven't figured out yet, but
in term of the entire song it isn't incredibly important, you can work
around it.
Any corrections, or chords (which would be great, tab would be even
better), email me at aa105656@midnet.csd.scarolina.edu

| Soppy - "We havent a hope beyond your grace" means that theres nothing after Gods grace. His grace is the ultimate hope... | |

| This is such an amazing song. It's about a girl the singer knew who committed suicide. The melody is so haunting and the lyrics so moving that this song is the best off the album "Going Public" and one of my favourite Newsboys songs. | |

| Sad song. Probably the most popular "dark horse" hit among the newsboys tunes. It's about, probably a father, whose daughter commits suicide. He tries to go through it and "solve" it by himself. He goes through alot of confusion and obvious heartbreak. But at ther end of the song he finally hands everything over to God. I don't really know what they mean by the verse "We havent a hope beyond your grace",if this is talking about God's effect on the father,i would most definately agree. But i disagree with the fact that anyone who commits suicide like the song descirbes as a chance of going to Heaven. But its still a good song. | |

| I have been a Newsboy fan since their first album and have seen them in concert many times. This song is a very haunting tune about a person commiting suicide and leaving their friend to sort out why. When I was 15 my 13 year old brother committed suicide and I still cry every time I hear this song(I'm 48 now) The closing music in this song totally blows me away. | |
