I used to not like this song because I only really listened to the first verse and the chorus. I thought that only the fisrt verse was about the girl and the baby..like you know some songs go from scene to scene in different verses...anyway I was mad bacause I thought that maybe some kid would be depressed and listen to this song and it would re-enforce their feelings of worthlessness. Don't get me wrong, I loooooooove Nickelback. But now that I have taken the time to listen to the whole song and realize that the whole thing is about the one incident, it's growing on me. And I agree...WHAT A FUCKING BITCH! (sigh) I feel better now.

i read somewhere that this song's about a girl in canada a few years ago that got pregnant and didn't want the baby, she was only a teenager and all through the pregnancy she hid her belly and she had the baby at her prom. she had it in the toilet and left it in the water to drown and then she threw it in the garbage like a candy rapper and didn't care, they found the baby and worked out that it was hers but she denied it and said it wasn't hers bu they did blood tests and it was hers and she went to jail for it. stupid bitch!! i thought this story was disturbing when i first read it.

green1 good point. Hense that she is throwing the baby away, the singer is emphasizing that the girl do the same to her self. "You notice how god aint even helping you out" refering to the unatural death of the baby is what i understand. Im not sure on the "you know there gona burn it down? part and its reference.
