| I played this song at my brothers funeral, He died in Iraq, I cut out the First part about heaven dont hear me cause he is in heaven, but the rest of the song was good. "And they say that hero could save us, Im not gooing to stand hear and wait" He did just that, he wanted to go to Iraq and fight for his country. Love causes war!! Holding on to the wings of the eagle, compares to flying over to Iraq as the others watch the soldiers fly away. | |

| I think that this song is about someone who has had their beliefe in love shattered. They used to believe that with love you could be saved, but now believe that love causes much more pain then it is worth. | |

| ok you guys do know that Nickelback did not write this song, Chad Kroeger did. They were just doing a cover of it. If you want to hear a really good cover of it listen to Lukas Rossi's version. | |
