	I am a BIG NIN fan, my nick says it all, and clearly Closer is one of the definitive NIN songs, and I've heard limp bizkit try and incorporate its lyrics but they dont compare to the original and best. I'm a new user and its quality coz i can find a few songs i dont have yet from this, sweet :)

	WHAT in the hell is this song about???? A friend and I constantly listened to this song when we were in high school and have no idea what it's about. I've heard everything from satanism to twisted love. Ideas?

	I'm not compeletly sure what this song is about (i like all of your ideas and some of the comments made me giggle.. anyhow....) how i see it is, God is seen as this all-powerful all-knowing thing right? well, that's quite the desireable position to be in (if you're into that sorda thing) and so whatever girl he's with makes him have that... so getting closer to God, i think just means that he's becoming more godlike, and not like he's in the process of believing in God or something because he does say he has an absance of faith, so i don't think he'd be singing about believing then talk about how he has no faith... and yes, that's my opinion
