Soneone told me that a song by Nirvana was about how they were raped by pop media, and I misheard her and believed she was talking about this song. With that in mind, it makes perfect sense. Need you. (Trent needs to be famous, or MTV needs Trent to make money) Dream you. (Trent dreams of being a rockstar, or MTV dreams of a product) Find you. (MTV "discovers" Trent) Taste you. (MTV gets a taste of what it's like to have such an awesome star making them money) Fuck you. (Trent realises that MTV just wants money and not to make fans happy) Use you. (MTV uses Trent for this purpose) Scar you. (Trent realises that media corporation is nothing of what it seems; more based on greed and money-loving) Break you. (same as above) Of course, in this interpretation, the last verse doesn't make any sense at all.

It's about human nature. We want what we can't have and then when we get it we end up ruining it.

I've seen the video of it played live. . . I also enjoy the portion of "Closure" when Trent is traveling and the background music is the remixed version of this song. This song is beautiful, because it sums up every element of a relationship- whether that relationship be romantic or not. This song could even be applied to a close friendship.

Nin172004... I was thinking the same thing. Everytime I play Silent Hill games I think of Downward Spiral and vice versa. ...notice they even have a creature named 'Closer'?
