Oleander, "Why I'm Here"
Tabbed by: Todd Cathey toddofla@yahoo.com 05/24/2005
I've written this tab for a 5 string bass,
which is definately preferred in this case;
tuning down won't be necessary and you can
hit the nice low notes. Ifyou're on a 4 string,
play the octave fret on your A string.
I've tabbed out the basic parts, memorize
the order as you play along with the song.
Have fun with it and add your own grooviness.
Notes on my tab:
==== indicates to hold the note (listen to
song for context)
/ slide up to note
all verses:
G|------------------------|--------------------------||
D|------------------------|--------------------------||
A|-----------------4----6-|-----------------4----6---||
E|--4-4--4/6===6-4--------|--4-4--4/6===6-4----------||
B|-------------------2-4-2|-------------------2-4-2--||
Tricky timing on the verse line; listen
carefully to get the vampy rhythm down.
pre chorus and guitar solo:
G|------------------------------------|
D|------------------------------------|
A|------------------4-4-4-4-6-6-6-6---|
E|--4-4-4-4-7-7-7-7-------------------|
B|------------------------------------|
chorus:
G|--------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------4----------|
E|--------------------------------------------------|
B|-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-2-2-2-2===5--5-5-|
