I think that this song is about someone who is gone forever, and only his memories still remain, and the writer still suffer from the pain of the farewell (there is a wound it's always bleeding), it can be about his grandmother, or it can be about someone else, for exp: when i listen to this song, i feel as it's about me and my ex girlfreind , but still a great damn song

I think that he is still; talking about his grandma in this one.Saying her ghost wont return.He's struggling to maintain whats left,which is nothing.

well like you said this song is about the death of his grandmother but forest of october he is not still talking about his grandmother, you act like this is a conceptalbum wich is not. i think this is the only song about his grandmother
