it always amazs me how they canput such meaningful lyrics....then weave a web of gorgeous music around it , and make it like it just comes naturally to them i love it. good stuff

This is one of the best Opeth songs, ever. Martin Mendez is underrated.

This is an absolutely beautiful song. It's hands down my favourite Opeth song and probably the one which brought me into their mind-blowing music. I think this song is about the end, or the closing, of a powerful love, thus the title 'The Drapery Falls'. It seems like a love that he was hopelessly devoted to, and then it simply died, but he cannot help but still feel for her. And I agree with Moonlapse Vertigo, it reminds me of the story in Poe's 'The Raven'.
