| This is an absolutely beautiful song. It's hands down my favourite Opeth song and probably the one which brought me into their mind-blowing music. I think this song is about the end, or the closing, of a powerful love, thus the title 'The Drapery Falls'. It seems like a love that he was hopelessly devoted to, and then it simply died, but he cannot help but still feel for her. And I agree with Moonlapse Vertigo, it reminds me of the story in Poe's 'The Raven'. | |
