Band:Opeth
Album:Ghost Reveries
Song:The Grand Conjuration

G I'm submittiing another "Grand Conjuration" tab because I have made some
corrections
D from my last version.
A
D Drop D tuning

I have spent lots of time working on this tab, and it's a very good tab.
So enjoy. A lot of things that he does is hard to hear, but if you
really listen hard enough you can hear it. The speakers that I used
to figure some of the little things out, you could hear the bass
perfectly, and I just saw them live on Feb. 15 (2006,) so this is
VERY accurate. Once again,
enjoy!:)

*=sticato note h=hammer on p=pull off S=slap P=pop /=slide up \=slide down

christians and satanists and stereotypical metal heads. haha nice combination. very eerie song. its strange to see opeth walking down this path. heard them once say they were against using "blast chords"... however in saying so... its one of their finest works. the melody line once again drives the song. what makes this song move like the ghost of a dead child on swings has to be the creepy chanting and the flurry of keyboards. in my opinion its Ghost reveries best piece ... or atleast its most memorable. From what I got, Satan sends people in hell back to earth to spread the seeds of evil. He is picked to return to earth with bitter hatred and spreed evil. Now onto Isolation years.

the album was supposed to be completely about a man killing his mother and turning to satan, and except for isolation years, it is.....this is the narrators final descent into hell and why do christians feel like saying "im christian but..."? being christian shouldnt hinder your enjoyment of something just because it mioght deal with satan in an abstract way, esp if it casts evil in a negative light. the fact that you have to put that preamble on there shows that christianity serves nothing but to be a barrier to enjoyment of life, more than alot of other religions(at least that i know of, although all the sects of religions that make you vow ascetiscism or such are included too)

I am a Christian Opeth fan, but I dont care what bands sing about, I love this song and I dont think I'm going to go to hell or anything because of that
