| I believe it may be about an ACTUAL coma as TiraSky mentioned and is more literal than analogous. Many phrases he uses shouldn't be overanalyzed too much; at the same time he uses alot of 'colorful' wording. I believe this is what it's all about: A friend did in fact go into a coma, where she's in a 'deep sleep, a permanent imagination' which is probably preferable to this world we live in. I think he's posing that question about 'do you wonder what it's like'...to his listeners. Coma could be a metaphor in this sense. 'Guilty by design' could describe her body's non-immunity to physical damage, as is all our bodies, which is now being controlled and 'kept alive' by machines, hence 'dreams in digital' and 'control is gone'. Pixel army may be describing something only he knew about pertaining to her life so I'm confused there, but the rest seems simple; since she's pretty helpless, he COULD pull the plug; and you've all heard that even people in comas can hear you, hence ' i used to compose your dreams' cause he would talk to her. I think he's hoping she'll come out of it and 'expose' herself before he leaves her for good, since she's now 'wasting away' and losing weight, hence 'made some changes by the virus (coma)'. This makes sense to me, but I have to admit the computer analogies sound right on too! |
