Artist: Our Lady Peace
Song: Life
Figured Out By: Alan the Wise (spfan607@yahoo.com)
Nobody has tabbed this out yet (as far as I can find)
so I figured that I would do the world a favor and
write it out so nobody else will have to go through
the horrible sufferings of writting tabliture. Since
this is being made for the purpose of getting the
general feel for the song, rather than teaching how
to play it just like the recording, it does not include
all of the fills in the last verse and chorus. If you
want to sound just like it, then you can figure those
out yourself, but I think that it's always best to
improvize a bit and add a touch of your own style to
the songs you play.
My spelling sucks, but I'm sure that you all know
what I'm trying to say, so I don't care. Enjoy!

Please realize that if you request a song for me to tab out that the odds of
me tabbing it are not so high, consittering it takes a good deal of time.
But feel free to ask anyway! I'll try my best.

| this song is great. it reminds me of something that you have wanted for awhile, but was right in front of you the whole time, and then suddenly everything is right when you see it. it also reminds me of something where life is fuzzy and unclear, like when the lyrics say "its all messed up but we're alive"...but it feels like you should enjoy it anyway because you only live once | |

| this song was written about my friend. she had cancer, and her wish from the Make a Wish Foundation was to meet OLP. when she did, they talked about their upcoming album, and what life means to them and stuff. when you see the video... the girl with cancer in the video looks like my friend did when she met them. plus "she gets high, she gets lost, she gets drowned by the cost, twice a day, every week..." is about her radiation treatments. yeah. it's a great song though. | |

| i think this song might be in reference to dostoyevsky's crime and punishment...after the main character (rodya) gets busted, the detective's argument for why rodya shouldn't kill himself is that "life is waiting for you [rodya]. Though, who knows? maybe your life, too, will pass off in smoke and come to nothing. Come, what does it matter, that you will pass into another class of men? It's not comfort you regret, with your heart! What of it that perhaps no one will see you for so long? It's not time, but yourself that will decide that. Be the sun and all will see you. The sun has before all to be the sun." i just thought that it was pretty deep, and a couple of other elements from the book can be related to the song...but now, i'm rambling...this song kicks arse no matter what it means | |

| This song assures me that other ppl as well get taken-for granted.. and b/c they are so nice, get walked over so easily.. and they are correct, "It's all messed up, but we're alive.." | |
